GETTING STARTED
What is VoiceSnap?
VoiceSnap is an AI powered transcription app that allows you to record audio, convert speech to text, and transform recordings into summaries, notes, flashcards, quizzes, and more.
How do I start recording?
Open the app and tap the microphone button on the home screen. Grant microphone permission when prompted. Tap the button again to stop recording.
How long can I record?
You can record up to 90 minutes per session.
CREDITS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
How do credits work?
Each AI feature uses one credit. Credits are required for transcription, summaries, notes, flashcards, quizzes, action items, highlights, chat, and translation.
What subscription options are available?
Annual Plan: 29.99 USD per year with 5 credits per month
Monthly Plan: 4.99 USD per month with 5 credits per month
3 Credits Pack: 1.99 USD one time purchase
1 Credit Pack: 0.99 USD one time purchase
Do credits expire?
Subscription credits refresh monthly on your billing date. Unused subscription credits do not roll over. One time credit pack purchases never expire.
How do I restore my purchases?
Go to the paywall screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings on your device, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select VoiceSnap, and tap Cancel Subscription. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
FEATURES
How do I transcribe a recording?
After recording or importing a file, open the recording and tap the Transcribe button. The AI will convert your audio to text.
How do I generate a summary?
Open a transcribed recording and tap Summary. The AI will create a concise overview of the content.
How do I create flashcards?
Open a transcribed recording and tap Flashcards. The AI will generate study cards based on the content.
How do I create a quiz?
Open a transcribed recording and tap Quiz. The AI will generate questions to test your comprehension.
What are action items?
Action items are tasks and to dos extracted from your recordings. This feature is useful for meeting notes.
What are highlights?
Highlights are the most important points identified by AI from your recording.
How does AI chat work?
Open a transcribed recording and tap Chat. You can ask questions about the content and receive instant answers.
IMPORTING FILES
What file types can I import?
VoiceSnap supports audio files, video files, and PDF documents.
How do I import a WhatsApp voice message?
In WhatsApp, tap and hold the voice message, tap Share, and select VoiceSnap from the share menu.
How do I import a Voice Memo?
Open the Voice Memos app, tap the recording, tap the three dots menu, tap Share, and select VoiceSnap.
How do I import a PDF?
Tap the plus button on the home screen, select your PDF file, and VoiceSnap will extract the text for processing.
EXPORTING AND SHARING
How do I export a transcript?
Open a recording, tap the export button, and choose your preferred sharing method.
Can I copy text to clipboard?
Yes. Tap and hold on any text to select and copy it.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The app is not recording audio
Make sure you have granted microphone permission. Go to Settings, find VoiceSnap, and enable Microphone access.
Transcription is not working
Check your internet connection. AI features require an active internet connection. Also verify that you have available credits.
My purchase is not showing
Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall screen. If the issue persists, restart the app and try again. Contact support if the problem continues.
The app is running slowly
Close other apps running in the background and restart the app. If the issue persists, restart your device.
Audio quality is poor
Record in a quiet environment. Hold your device closer to the sound source and avoid covering the microphone.
PRIVACY AND DATA
Where are my recordings stored?
Recordings are stored locally on your device.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your recordings and transcripts remain on your device. AI processing is done securely and your content is not stored on our servers.
How do I delete my recordings?
Open Settings in the app and tap Delete All Recordings. You can also delete individual recordings by swiping left on them in the library.
